This time, I want to talk about how we built our team and navigated some pretty tough times in the IT world during 2023. It was a year that kept us on our toes, with the whole industry feeling the heat from big changes and challenges, from banking troubles to shifts in the market. But through it all, LimoExpress stood as our focus, our project that we were determined to see succeed.

When the challenging times hit early in 2023, we knew it was time to double down on LimoExpress. We had a couple of projects on the go, but to make sure we could really focus on making LimoExpress a success, we shifted them aside. This wasn't just about clearing our schedule; it was about ensuring we had the financial breathing room to support our dream project. I personally worked into these projects, directing all the profits back into keeping our team afloat and pushing LimoExpress forward. It was a risky move, relying on just these two projects to fund our entire operation, but it was necessary. They were the lifeline that kept our company going, allowing the rest of the team to dedicate their full attention to LimoExpress

Our team might have been small, but we were mighty. We had a developer for the app, someone working on the backend stuff, another on the frontend, and then there was me, juggling roles from CEO to QA. When August rolled around, we brought on a designer, all set to give LimoExpress a unique look and feel.

We worked in what I like to call the "Dutch system" — it's basically where everyone on the team really owns their part of the project, no strict schedules or points, just commitment and flexibility. This way, we could adapt and move quickly, just what you need in a fast-paced tech world. As we got further into the project, our dedication to making something great remained steady.

We made a strategic decision to bring in several senior developers as advisors to guide our mobile team. While we weren't in a position to expand our team with full-time hires, these experienced professionals provided invaluable leadership and insight. Their expertise and advice significantly boosted our project, offering the guidance and direction needed to navigate the complexities we faced. This collaboration ensured that, despite our size, our team's capabilities and output were enhanced by top-tier industry knowledge and experience.

So, Chapter 3 is all about the choices we made, the team that's been with us every step of the way, and how we've tackled everything thrown at us. It's proof that even when things get rocky, sticking to your vision and working smart can get you through.
